i saw in this list of ska bands with email addresses that the Selecter had one, i was amazed and thought i'd ask em to do an interview. Pauline, the vocalist, agreed, i was very happy. for those of you under a rock, the Selecter are one of the original Two Tone ska bands. they play awesome music and have been around forever now. thanks to them for the interview and the music! good luck.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOITE FRUIT AND WHY?
the SELECTER- A mango, because they're so wonderfully mess and you can only eat them while you're having a bath

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE CURRENT STATE OF SKA?
the SELECTER- Seems like the US scene is very happening. I like the skeletones, but that's because I know them and they're great guys. In England it's mostly underground. No Doubt is being played on MTV over here, but is that really ska? I don't know? But I do like them.
